Hey everyone!!! So
training is going super well and we moved from the YMCA to the local middle
school.
| This is an elk! They were all around the YMCA!!! |
We will be here till Sunday
morning and then my team and I are heading to Deleware then. This past weekend we were free from Friday at
5pm to Sunday at 5pm. On Friday night we
went out to eat and I had Colorado pizza, apparently this is the best pizza
around, but being from Chicago and knowing what real pizza is supposed to taste
like I was not impressed. Who knew I was
a pizza snob hahaa.

Then we got ice cream from this great ice cream place I
mean just look at the it!!! We walked
around downtown Estes Park and took pictures.

We went to The Stanley Hotel, which is the hotel that is featured in The
Shining. The place was kinda creepy, but
they had this area that was so beautiful it’s too bad I don’t know anyone in
Colorado so they can get married there!!!

| Wouldn't this be pretty for a wedding!!! The backdrop would be the Rocky Mountains!!! |
On Saturday we went and did a 5k walk/run…even walking is hard in this
high altitude!!! For dinner we went to this place that was featured on the Food Network!!! The food was sooo good!!!

Then we went to the
Rockies game at Coors Field and it started rainy and was super windy. Around the 6th inning it cleared
up and we enjoyed the game. The Rockies
lost and the Dodgers won.

On our way to the Rockies game we came across this place. Apparently medical marijuana is legal in Colorado!!! I definitely don't see places like this in Chicago!!!
We stayed the
night at my prayer partner Cat’s house.
It was so nice to be in a home atmosphere, to have a nice shower, and a
home cooked meal was awesome!!! We went
to a drive in movie which was so fun especially because I had never been to one
before!!!

Sunday morning we got up and
went to a nondenominational church. I
have never been to one, and it was interesting.
Then everyone went to this lake and we hung out for a few hours. We came back to the school we are now staying
at. We will be training the rest of this
week and then we are heading out next Sunday to go to Deleware!!!! Here are some other pictures I've taken this week. I am having a wonderful time here, except for the altitude...I've never had to drink so much water in my life!!! I hope all of you are having a wonderful summer and here's a shoutout to my dad, love you!!!! I will talk to you all soon!
Love the updates Kelly! Glad you are enjoying yourself :) Miss you and best wishes in Delaware!
