PLACEMENT!!!!!!

Hello friends!!! So the past 2 days have been an absolute whirlwind, but it has been such an amazing experience already!!!  So I landed in beautiful Denver Colorado and this is the what I landed and saw!!!

Everything here is absolutely beautiful!  After landing I met a bunch of people from workcamps and we all hung out in the airport and got to know each other while waiting for everyone to arrive.  We then started the 2 hour drive up the mountains, super scary in a coach bus by the way, to come to Estes Park.  These are some of the pictures I took along the way!

We are staying the YMCA of the Rockies this week!  This place is huge and super awesome.  This week I have 3 roommates and I absolutely love them already!!!  I kinda feel like I’m living in a sorority house except Christian edition because they are all such sweet, considerate, wonderful people and there is no drama in our room!!!

We found out on Monday night where we were going and who we were going with.  I am going to Ocean View Deleware, Oak Hills West Virginia, and Belle West Virginia.  I am really excited especially because I have never been to any of these places.  I am on a crew with 4 other people and they are absolutely amazing!

I am so excited for what this summer has in store for me and I know it is going to be one of the best experiences of my life.  We started training today and my position is office manager.  My job seems very overwhelming so far, but the other office managers I am training with are amazing, and just in general everyone here is amazing.  I am meeting some of the most amazing people I have ever met, and the environment is so positive and Christ centered.  I am loving this amazing, nurturing environment, and it’s impossible not to feel God’s presence just when I look out the window of my training room and see nothing but snow covered mountains and God’s creation everywhere. Also, the stars here are phemional…I could stare at them for hours!!!  There is a small chance that I may be able to stop through Chicago or even stay for a night when we leave here in a week in a half.  We find out on Thursday so I will keep you all updated.  Don’t forget you can text me, call me, facebook me, tweet me, skype me…ya know talk to me any of these ways haha.  I love you all!!! Here’s a shout out to my mom too, love you!!!

1 DAYYYYY

So this has been a crazy week at home!!! I can't believe this is my last day before I leave.  We went to the Wisconsin Dells and we had a great time!

I also got to see two of my best friends Meghan and Jen.  It was so nice to catch up with them and hear about everything that is going on in their lives (like Meghan being a new Aunt!!!!) So the week is coming to a close and today I am going to my cousin Rachel's engagement party.  I will get to see all my family one last time before I leave.  I have already packed my bags and printed my boarding pass! I'm all set to go.  My flight leaves tomorrow at 9:30am!  I will try to post tomorrow, because when I get to Colorado I find out where I am going!!! I will post again soon!!!

Leaving for camp in 6 days

So, everyone seems to be blogging and I think this would be a great way for people to keep up with what I'm doing this summer. For those of you that dont know I am working with group work camps this summer. Next Monday I am heading to Colorado where we will train for 2 weeks. This is a camp where teens come and help with home repair in needy areas. I did this 3 times when I was in high school and had some amazing experiences. I am really excited and also very nervous about this adventure! I will keep you updated about my traveling through the country and the camps this summer!!! I will try to write at least once a week!Tomorrow and Thursday my family and Tricia will be heading to the Wisconsin dells. We are taking a mini vacation since I will be gone for the summer.  We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge so it's gonna be a good time! Then Friday and Saturday I will be packing and seeing Jen for lunch on Saturday  and Meghan for dinner on Friday. It's hard trying to fit in seeing everyone in one week!!!  Sunday is my cousin Rachel's engagement party and Monday I am off to Colorado!!! Time is flying by!!!
